‘Bab-Ftah’ (Open Door in Arabic) is a support service for isolated Muslim women and children, some of whom are refugees and asylum seekers, offering culturally relevant opportunities to meet others and gain support.
The project currently engages with up to 100 women each month. This year alone we have helped a lady who left her violent husband, two women coming to terms with husbands taking a second wife, resolved an argument between two women married to the same man, and helped women separated from their children.
The meals run on the first Saturday of every month at the Frontline Centre. If you’d like to know more contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
